YouTube is promoting channels for cooking and fitness. The YouTube programs called “Next Chef” and “Next Trainer” provide contest winners with training, money, and supplies to help build their YouTube channels.

YouTube is doing a brilliant job of enabling and encouraging users to build quality content. Internet video usage continues to increase as more people enjoy entertainment via mobile devices, laptops, desktops, and Internet TV. I’m happy to see YouTube developing strategies to take advantage of the growing market.
